Jeff David and Grant Geelan head to the Quit Forest Rally of Western Australia with confidence following a strong Bosch Australian Rally Championship Classic opener at Rally Calder.
David and Geelan showed strong consistency all weekend and finished second behind rally legends Neal Bates and Coral Taylor. David and Geelan were on the attack all weekend in the 911 and took third place in heat one before going on to finish second in the remaining two heats.
“We had a great weekend. Unfortunately we didn’t get to the top of the podium but we gained a lot of confidence heading into the forest in a few weeks’ time,” said Grant Geelan.
David admitted the tarmac components of Rally Calder took some getting used to.
“I much prefer the gravel so it took a bit to get used to the tarmac,” explained David.
“I’m looking forward to getting back to the gravel in Western Australia.”
The Bosch Australian Rally Championship continues with the Quit Forest Rally of Western Australia held March 31 - April 1.
