Porsche mounted a magnificent attack on the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans over the 14th and 15th of June, thanks in large part to the Autohaus Hamilton family cheering them on from the Willoughby Hotel.

For the second year running we took over the Willoughby Hotel to watch the closing hours of the race. We had an awesome turnout this year, commandeering most of the top floor of the pub to share plenty of laughs, good food, a few drinks and the thrills of the race.

Unfortunately it was not to be for Porsche, despite running a great race after a long hiatus from the sport. In the closing hours Mark Weber was in the lead and things were looking good, but a power train failure sent the team slowly back into the pits, where they stayed. The second 919 followed soon after, but was repaired in time to head out on the last lap for 11th place.

We may not have gone home with a 17th overall 24 Hours of Le Mans win, but it was a great race nevertheless, and an even better evening. Most importantly, it was brilliant to share it with the Autohaus Hamilton family, and we'd like to send out a huge 'THANK YOU!' to everyone who joined us!

Just like Porsche, we'll be back bigger and better next year to cheer them on again as things get heated for the overall win record!
