Event: Skunkworks RS-4 Launch Party

What a night!

There’s been a lot of changes at Autohaus Hamilton over the last 12 months, everything from internal systems, additional work stations, more projects, less motorsport and the change we’ve enjoyed the most, more social events.

Last Friday night saw another of these ‘social events’ take place, an event which started as a conceptual idea to get some of our customers, friends and family to enjoy something real, something you can touch with your own hands and experience in person, not behind a screen.

The invites went out and the RSVP’s came flooding in. Sixty guests booked in to drop by the showroom on a Friday night and celebrate the completion of our latest project car, the 964 Skunkworks RS-4.

To compliment the RS-4, the addition of four other project cars were displayed and one beautiful backdate we currently have for sale. Each car owning it’s identity, completely one off and catered only to the owners specifications; Our Group4 - a street tough rally inspired 911SC, Byram’s Spyder - based off a 3.2 Carrera, this car has shed weight and with it’s factory specifications it’s become the ultimate Sunday cruiser, Graeme’s 3.8RSR - displayed as a half way project, this piece of racing art will be the prettiest and quicker 911 on track! and Jeff’s #8 racer, this car was built for the historic racing class and packs an engine with a lot of bite and 10,000 rpm to try and harness it all.

To keep the cold winters night bearable the addition of music, food and drinks was a must. With a wood fire oven parked right out front, they managed to knock out eight five pizzas over the 3hours event. Fuelling the imagination of all our guests our resident designers Claudio had some digital representations of current and future project cars on display, and to take home!

As the night progressed, the showroom echoed laughter and a thousand separate conversations about the ultimate Porsche project. The kids even got a few photobombs in there! All in all, the event was a success but it wasn’t even the biggest event of the weekend, come Sunday we took 110 Porsche’s including these few very special rides, all through the Hunter Valley!

All that’s left is to thank the two brothers behind the car that made this all happen, Jeremy and Matt - Thank you for coming to us and letting us help you both design, create and enjoy the dream 964.
