The 930 Turbo arguably adorned the bedroom walls of more teenagers in the 80's than any other car. Wide, menacing, huge rear wing and the name 'Turbo' on the engine lid, what more could dreams be made of.
With 300HP and weighing in at approx 1350 kg the 930 was the true enthusiast's supercar. It was so unlike anything else at the time that it became a motoring icon. Its reputation as being a car that has to be driven with great respect preceded it because if you got it wrong they had the ability to bite you. But on the flipside, learning to drive a 930 well at its limits is truly rewarding.
This particular car was delivered to its 1st owner under the factory tourist delivery scheme where you could collect it directly from Zuffenhausen, drive straight out to commence your month-long European road trip/holiday and then have the car shipped back home. It is a factory right-hand drive car and spent until 2009 in the UK and then sometime shortly after it was sent to Australia where it was complied in QLD and has remained since.
Whilst in Australia it appears to have had just two owners with lots of servicing at well-known Porsche specialists.
In 2012 the original engine suffered a cracked crankcase so it was replaced with a correct 930/60 ( 1978-1982 ) ROW spec 3.3L 300HP engine which is essentially identical to its original. This was a rebuilt engine supplied on an exchange basis by well-known Sydney Porsche specialist Bob Whyms Automotive. The mileage at the time of replacement/rebuild was 146,180 klms so it has only travelled 17,261 klms since. This is all documented in the history file.
We have also confirmed with Porsche Cars Australia that it is still in its original colour spec of Guards Red with Linen interior.

It comes with its original books, a large history file, space-saver spare and jack. It has also been thoroughly inspected by our factory-trained technicians and is now ready for sale.
