A deeper look into a custom 356 internal hydraulic release bearing we set up; which also involved the installation of a clutch master cylinder and slight modifications to the 901 transmissions bell housing.

Initially the factory parts were removed and new bearing installed.

From there you can see where we marked and shaved the factory bell housing and start test fitting the lines.

With everything fitted, we can match the 901 trans with it’s type 4 engine. We won’t be able to ‘test-drive’ the car for quite sometime, but this modification should provide a smoother, lighter and more predictable clutch feel. Perfect for cruising, when this 356 finds it ways back to the road!
