Let’s take a look at how Porsche’s newest 911, the 991, takes to the track.

Porsche took the Carrera S version of their upcoming 991 to Laguna Seca for Rennsport Reunion IV and put works driver Patrick Long behind the wheel to capture some footage of it tearing up the iconic circuit. Patrick was chased by??Rolex Grand-Am GT Champion Leh Keen in a Cayman R and the pair clearly had a ball playing Porsches on the iconic circuit.

The 991 looks right at home hanging the back out on a race track, and sounds pretty fantastic as well! I’m enjoying the sleek, sophisticated and modern look. Classy, sporty and undeniably a 911.

The Carrera S’ 3.8-litre boxer develops 400 horsepower and will hit one hundred kilometers an hour in just 4.3 seconds from a standing start; 4.1 if you can tame the techno-wizardry available in the Sport Chrono pack. It will be available in early 2012.
